Hope all is well. I've been doing the usual - pooping, sleeping, eating, crying... with the emphasis on crying.
I heard a new expression the other day - life isn't always fair. Well, whoever made that up is right. I've recently been diagnosed with acid reflux. "How is that possible" you may ask? A newborn? I've asked myself the same thing. I'm not some fat guy sitting on some couch eating sausages and drinking booze, or some stockbroker who just looked at his Treo and realized he lost his bum on a black Friday or Monday.
Anyway, the doc has prescribed some meds for me. They seem to be doing to trick, but man, that medicine tastes awful! Let me ask you, who was the genius pharmacist/doctor/chemist who decided a good flavor for a baby would be peppermint? Why not make it whiskey flavored? or maybe monkey's butt flavor? hobo sweat? I mean, I'd almost rather taste my bile than this stuff.
While the taste is horrific, the medicine is working. I'm happier, not so quick to scream bloody murder at the slightest provocation, and I've had less reason to cry. My M&D's shirts have less spit up stains as well. (That part kind of sucks, though, as I like lots of dirty laundry -sometimes M or D will let me hang out on the dryer - the dryer is one crazy thrill ride!)
Well, I'm off to go dirty a diaper - check in again soon!
